I spent an amazing week in the Salzkammergut, one of my favourite regions in Austria. The landscape is so beautiful with its mountains and lakes and it just makes me want to go hiking all the time and explore new places with fantastic views and never return home. Unfortunately, we did not hike as much as I would have liked to, but I promised myself to come back next year – I plan to make a tour with my father, hiking onto the Backenstein (the mountain in the picture above, there is a route on the left side, where the trees are) and then continue on the plateau until we reach the path that leads down to the next lake – The Altausseersee, the one we visited and went around as well, just like the Grundlsee, where we stayed. It was truly a wonderful week….

Our last day – I will be back soon!!
And one last thing… During our stay, some cows where brought back from the pastures, to our amusement and the drivers anxiety :)
