Innsbruck

I was in Innsbruck over the holidays – the first time ever. We often drove through it on our way to Italy, but I’ve never been in the city before. On the first day, we visited the Schloss Ambras and went into the museum there. I especially loved the park with the peacocks.

Of course we also visited the ‘Goldenes Dachl’ (golden roof) in the centre and strolled through the old city. The houses there are really special – everyone has an oriel (or two!) and arcades. It was so beautiful!

We also went into a lot of museums – it felt as if we went into every single one Innsbruck has to offer. We also visited the ‘Hofkirche’ with Emperor Maximilian’s cenotaph (not tomb, as he is actually burried in Vienna) and it’s bronze statues.

I really liked Innsbruck, especially the fact that there are mountains in every direction you look!

Have a nice weekend!
